Red Note Ensemble - Call for European Scores for Performances @ ARTMUSFAIR/2009 : ARTMUSFAIR/2009

Announcing the CALL FOR SCORES for a special one-off RED NOTE ENSEMBLE NOISY NIGHT @ ARTMUSFAIR Friday 30th October 2009:

NOISY NIGHTS are the professional Red Note Ensemble’s new music nights - freshly-composed new scores from around the world, performed in a relaxed and informal ambience.

To celebrate ArtMusFair 2009, Red Note’s established bi-monthly Noisy Night event (which normally takes place in the bar of the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh) is being hosted by ArtMusFair in a late-night lounge session.

A general call for scores, maximum length 5 minutes each, instrumentation  Fl (AFl, Picc) / Hn / Vc / Marimba is made. Tape / pre-recorded tracks can be accommodated. Full scores and parts (hard copies or pdf format via email) to john@seventhings.co.uk (address below) by 5pm on Monday 28th September 2009 at the very latest. Late submissions will not be considered for performance, and preference will be given to scores written in direct response to this call.

The performers will be members of the Red Note ensemble.

Noisy Nights are supported by Seven Things, the Traverse Theatre, The Arches, SAC and the PRS Foundation.
