<p>- Several major assemblies of European composer and music networks;<br />
- 4 high level conferences regarding broadcasting, commissioning, funding and protecting contemporary classical music;<br />
- Project &amp; Live music stages to help you present your projects and activities to the expert audience from all over Europe;<br />
- A contemporary music exhibition that enables you to display and exhibit your music, scores, recordings and a whole range of other information<br />
- 3 after-hour ARTMUSFAIR-late nite-lounges;<br />
- A &#8220;Contemporary Music for Europe”- declaration aiming to establish an agenda for the future of contemporary music;<br />
- Various networking opportunities all day long</p>
<p>In the recently designated UNESCO City of Music - Glasgow - the four day event coincides with celebrations of Scottish composer Sir Peter Maxwell Davies’ 75th birthday. The concert programme will feature symphonic concerts by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra as well as a number of performances of the very latest contemporary music by smaller Scottish, UK and European ensembles and by students from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.</p>

NOISY NIGHTS are the professional Red Note Ensemble&#8217;s new music nights - freshly-composed new scores from around the world, performed in a relaxed and informal ambience.</span></p>
<p>To celebrate ArtMusFair 2009, Red Note&#8217;s established bi-monthly Noisy Night event (which normally takes place in the bar of the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh) is being hosted by ArtMusFair in a late-night lounge session.</p>
<p>A general call for scores, maximum length 5 minutes each, instrumentation  Fl (AFl, Picc) / Hn / Vc / Marimba is made. Tape / pre-recorded tracks can be accommodated. Full scores and parts (hard copies or pdf format via email) to <span style="color: #0000ff;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">john@seventhings.co.uk</span></span> (address below) by 5pm on Monday 28th September 2009 at the very latest. Late submissions will not be considered for performance, and preference will be given to scores written in direct response to this call.</p>
<p>The performers will be members of the Red Note ensemble.</p>
<p>Noisy Nights are supported by Seven Things, the Traverse Theatre, The Arches, SAC and the PRS Foundation.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Shaping the Future of Contemporary Music –</strong> under this motto <strong>ARTMUSFAIR/2009</strong> is to be launched with its 2nd edition <strong>in Glasgow  from 29 October - 01 November 2009</strong> and invites the entire contemporary classical music scene.</p>
<p>Aiming at building new and tighter partnerships, exchanging new music concepts, sharing ideas, creativity and learn about the latest best-practice examples of innovation in the European contemporary music community, <strong>ARTMUSFAIR/2009 invites composers, music publishers, record labels, musicians, music teachers,  promoters, networkers, agents and many more interested music enthusiasts from across the whole of Europe.<br />
</strong><br />
We are expecting some 500 particpants to attend ARTMUSFAIR/2009 in Glasgow, representing more than 70 cultural and music organisations from more than 30 European countries.</p>
